Terrace East

Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan

The first of potentially several buildings, Terrace East (originally named Fairford Condominiums) is a shared project between Alton Tangedal Architect Ltd. and Robinson Residential. Located in Moose Jaw, this four storey, 36 unit condo was designed to suit the interests of mid and high income clients. Terrace East is located in the city’s core, within easy walking distance of historic main street and its diverse amenities. All the suites feature large decks and lovely views of downtown. The top two floors host spectacular 4,000 square foot high-ceiling penthouse suites. Forty parking stalls are contained on the ground floor.

Moose Jaw’s original downtown buildings were constructed in a variety of architectural genres popular a century ago. Terrace East’s Chicago style design therefore situates the building nicely into its surroundings. Brick forms the exterior’s base and travels up twin column facades. Each floor features large three-part “Chicago windows” –  a central fixed pane, flanked by two smaller double hung windows that creates a grid pattern on the building’s face. A horizontal molded cornice crowns Terrace East’s roof. Alton Tangedal Architect Ltd. was pleased to contribute to Moose Jaw’s rich urban heritage.
